Financial meltdown
Seems that most businesses will be affected by the current financial tsunami. USA has been managing its economy like a big ponzi scheme and when there is no more takers (or suckers) to play, the scheme just shut down. What will happen to Malaysia? If we were to evaluate the current conditions, our banks are not exposed to the financial derivatives, which is the main cause to the current meltdown. But then, why are some of the banks still pursuing some investment schemes which are based on US currency? Should we consider gold dinar and euro currency to trade?

Petrol Price
Wow! Everybody in town has been screaming of the latest petrol price hike. Let's recap...previously it was 1.92/litre for petrol. Now, it's RM2.70/litre. So what are we worried or should we worry about? Rising cost of goods and cost of living? Let's look thru another aspect. Govt is abolishing the practice of ceiling price on controlled items. That's good. let the market demand determine the price of these items. we can take less sugar, flour, cooking oil, meat and chicken if we want to. for the lower income, it is just the same. I'm not telling to change drastically on our lifestyle but our eating habits. just maybe, the sellers will adjust the price to suit the buyers demand. just try. the top level government servants and ministers must let go of their perks e.g. free petrol, free road tax, free utilities bills and no more free flying. they must pay from their pocket if they want to holiday overseas. sell government assets that have become liabilities such as the private jets, cars, buildings, lands etc. Ministers must drive their own car and their chauffeurs must be given extra allowances for petrol and overtime. think about it.

New Cabinet
Looks like some of the old guards have been sidelined/left out from the new cabinet of the Malaysian Federal Government. Just maybe our PM has opened his eyes and streamlined his cabinet for the period 2008 - 2013. But I still think Pak Lah has to stepped down as allow either more experienced figure to lead the country. Pak Lah has been a good servant to the previous administration and because of that he is more of a follower than a leader. Given the fact that he is already 60 ++ and rising, some formation of legacy is in his mind. Hope in this period, no more rampant robbing of the rakyat's right to the country's wealth. We can only hope......

First time out!
OK. Got to admit. This is my first time in the blogger or blogging world. Anybody who wish to taste asam pedas melaka, yes it's hot but satisfying! No adult pun intended. Ha!Ha! I guess this makes me a monyet since Khairy Jamaluddin told the public that bloggers are monkeys.
Whatever it is, I welcome any post to my blog especially those who are critical of everything in life and have creative solution to them. This blog does not appreciate any post that can be construed as racist, religious extremist, etc. We can only comment on what is.
Lastly, if you want to have the real taste of asam pedas Melaka, go to Melaka (obviously!duh!), proceed to Semabok and look for Warong Kita.
